Every time I cut thread tails off the end of a seam, I add it to this jar. My jar began to overflow, so I needed to find a way to recycle the thread.
This is what I came up with - thread circles.
I got a little carried away and made quite a few of them in various colors and sizes. This one already has a home in my newest piece.
Do you have a favorite recycling technique? If so, I would love to hear about it.

Your recycled thread pieces is the most wonderful idea I have seen in a long time. Absolutely beautiful, in the jar as well as in the thread circles.
This is beautiful! How did you form these threads together...is it stitched?
Ah, the circle theme continues! Such a cool idea. And I'm glad you're liking the Mac, too.
Congratulations on the new computer! I love your innovative and colorful thread circles! I save the frayed threads on my hand dyed fabrics after they come out of the washer for the third time. Then I use them in "thread play" pieces!
Whoops - I meant to comment the other day that I love my Macbook. Yes, it takes a while to get used to it but it is my friend, too.
Your thread piece is cool!
Once you go to a Mac you'll never want to go back - at least that's how I have found it to be. I LOVE my Mac!
I really like what you have done with your thread tails - perfect - and a great idea too!
Go to Nellie's Needles. She makes her quilts completely out of our scraps and thread bits. Ort means scrap. So she calls it "Ort works". We all save her bits and the scraps to make her wonderful pieces. She does alot of lake Michigan.
